Teacher's Day Perbarisan
On Friday , 25th of May , all scout are required to wear full scout's uniform and attend Teacher's Day for Perbarisan.
ANNUAL CAMP 2012 UPDATE
- There will be a Troop Meeting on the 2nd of June for the Final Briefing of Annual Camp 2012.
- The location for the 2012 Annual Camp has been changed to our school.
- The camp fee will be reduced to Rm25 as transportation fee will no longer be required. The extra Rm15 of those who have already paid will be refunded on the day of the camp itself.
- Thursday , 24th May 2012 is the DEADLINE for handing in the Annual camp form and fee.
- For those of you who are unsure of your patrols for Annual Camp 2012 , the patrols list will be posted soon so remember to frequently check this blog.

TM on 7th April
Attention to all 12PJ Scouts,
There will be a troop meeting tmr from 8.30am- 12.30pm.
To all form 1's , please wear your mufti with scarf to attend this meeting.
To ALL SCOUTS who haven't hand in their registration forms, please hand in tmr.
Tomorrow will be the FINAL test taking for form 1's.
For those who didn't manage to pass keahlian badge by tmr, you are no longer a scout.
Form 2,3 and 4's are to build a tripod tower with platform on top.
After building the tripod, you all have to start a fire and send smoke signals on the platform.
Form 1's who has already passed their tenderfoot badge, you all will be practicing investiture.
After practicing, you all will have some station games. After that , there will be a game before
troop meeting ends.
To all scouts, please bring your logbooks tmr to be inspect.
ATTENDANCE ARE COMPULSORY.

Gunung Tahan Expedition 2012

There will be a expedition in August school holidays.
It will be 5days 4night expedition.
Anyone who is interested please send in your names to me.

-To ALL FORMS, Please send me the number of
people and names in your form through e-mail or write it on a paper and pass
it to me latest by this coming friday.
- To all form 2,3 and 4’s.Please bring your tongkat from home if you have one as there will be kawad tongkat. Length of tongkat is 5ft.
-To all form 2,3 and 4’s.Please do research
on how to build an Indian tepee big enough for one person and start a fire
without any smoke inside the tepee. Time given for you to finish up the tepee
is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Please refer here on how to build an Indian Tepee.
- Form 1’s please take note that you MUST
bring along your 120pages logbook, test book and scout rope.
-Form 4’s and 5’s, please be in school before
8am.

COH board is the backbone of the 12th. They are the current form 4 or Form 5 and their functions is to administrate and manages the troop. These are the one who dealing directly with school authorities and the members. They are responsible to organize troop meetings on available Saturdays and other scouts functions.

- 12th Petaling Scout Troop was formed by Brother Cronan.
Year 1964
- Our troop received an award for collecting the amount in the District Job Week.
Year 1966
- 7 senior Scouts receive the King Scout Badge.
- Our troop emerged champions in the district Scoutcraft competition.
- Our troop emerged the top in the Footdrill and Cooking Competition in the 23rd Annual LSCS Camporee..
Year 1967
- 3 Senior Scouts receive the King Scout Badge.
Year 1975
- The top GSM Mr. Sosainathan received the “Pingat Perkhidmatan Terbaik”.
Year 1978
- Our troop emerged champions in the District Competition Camp and went to represent Selangor at state level.
Year 1981
- Our troop produces 2 King Scouts.
Year 1982
- Our troop had the highest number of scouts representatives for the Selangor contigent for the 5th Malaysian Jamboree.
Year 1984
- The highest number of scouts from 12PJ representing Malaysia for the 1st Asia-Pacific Jamboree in Melbourne, Australia.
Year 1985
- Our troop’s dream materialized – our own Scout Den.
- Our troop was awarded as the 3rd place winners in the LSCS Camporee held in Penang.
Year 1986
- Our troop was again awarded as the 3rd place winners in the LSCS camporee.
Year 1988
- Our troop emerged champions and 1st Runner-Up in the district Scoutcraft competition.
Year 1990
- Our troop again produced 2 more King Scouts.
Year 1991
- Our troop emerged 1st Runner-Up in the Inter-District competition camp.
- Our troop again produced 2 more King Scouts.
Year 1992
- Our troop emerged 1st Runner-Up for the Annual LSCS Camporee in Ipoh.
Year 1993
- Our troop hosted the Petaling District Competition camp and emerged 1st Runner-Up.
Year 1995
- Our troop swept all the major trophies and emerged champions. Best in the whole of Selangor in the competition camp.
- Our troop emerged 2nd Runner-Up in the 28th LSCS Camporee in Negri Sembilan.
Year 1996
- Our troop hosted the 29th LSCS Camporee and emerged champions.
- Our troop joined the scouts of S.M Damansara Utama and emerged championsadan in the “Jamboree On The Air” (JOTA).
Year 1997
- Our troop emerged top in the Trap & Shelter Making, Pioneering and Orienteering in the Petaling District Competition Camp.
- 9 of the 12PJ Scout members’ conquered Mount Tahan.
Year 1999
- Our troop construct the biggest gateway in the history of Selangor in the 36th Annual Campfire
- The sub-division of 12PJ called Elite Training Squad (ETS) is formed for LSCS Camporees and achieved a 3rd place standing among all other La Sallian schools in LSCS Camporee.
Year 2002
- 8 scouts were selected to represent the Malaysian contingent for the Thailand International Jamboree.
- Our troop send two teams to the 34th LSCS called Tiger A (Senior) and Tiger B (Junior) and emerged Champions and 2nd Runner-Up.
Year 2003
- Our troop send its members to conquer the Mount Tahan’s Peak again.
- Our troop hosted the 35th LSCS Camporee and emerged champions.
Year 2005
- Our troop forged a record called “The Biggest Bamboo Sturcture” for Malaysian Book of Record (MBR). The tallest tower measured 63ft.
